Perhaps I should add another journal, since that last one is so outdated (though I suppose still relevant to my situation). I shall try keep this concise.
It seems to me that for almost as long as I can remember I wanted to be an artist, and I really enjoyed drawing. However I have noticed a problem over the years: even though I love drawing once I start, I often have trouble motivating myself to start drawing in the first place. It is a very strange issue, but it often leads to prolonged periods of time where I want to be drawing, yet never seem to do any serious drawing when I have time for it (aside from compulsory doodles all over notes and such).
Thus, I have decided, as many times in the past, that in order to have any kind of future in the arts, I must get better. Lots better. To do this I am going to start simple goals, and writing them down, on little exercises that I should do or how much time I should spend working on personal projects. My first one is quite simple: I will finish my current sketchbook by Christmas. I have 13 pages left, so that is really only one page a day. Easy. Along side that I want to have at least one session of Life Drawing (in another sketchbook I have for it), and to get substantially far on one of the digital works I have had sitting in limbo for several months now.
That is all. -_-
Perhaps I should just use these journals to write down my goals. Even if nobody is reading them, I will still feel slightly more pressure to get them done if I committed to them somewhere semi-public. I tend to work great under some pressure, and I don't miss deadlines, so this could be a good thing.

Last Leg of Summer
I've decided to do the 30 Day Monster Girl Challenge that I saw going around on tumblr. Good fun so far. :)
I'll probably start posting some of them here soon, but I also have a ton of older drawings to finished scanning and such and I like to have them at least somewhat in order on here. :P
You can see my tumblr here if interested.
That is all :D
The Scanner
I have been largely disappointed with the quality of my scans and I now know why. My scanner's default is set to 300dpi and jpg image. While it should be able to scan around 1200 dpi, the only way to do this that I can find is by using the control panel, which always gives me error messages and will not scan.
:(
The printer/scanner is a Brother 7020, and I have the control panel 3.
I hope to find a fix for this but I have just about given up trying (tried for a looooong time already).
Well have a good day! I just thought I would post a journal along with my update. :) I think I may update mostly on Tuesday, if only to get that one stat o
TT_TT
I have tendenosis... and I'm not happy about it! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
hand trouble
I have been having trouble with my right hand. All of you artists out there remember frequent stretching! Due to pain I have not been able to draw for a week already, and after visiting a doctor it may be a week or two before I can draw again! T_T
I think this problem could have been avoided with a few more breaks and regular stretching. >_
